This ladle is carved from a lovely sycamore crook rescued from the woodpile at Spoonfest 2016.
By using the natural shape of the wood, I am able to make extremely strong and durable spoons. By choosing the right materials, it also enhances the sweeping curves of this style of spoon.
I decided to use a vibrant red to colour the handle to contrast with the light wood.
